1. Simmer fruits and cinnamon
It doesn’t only look so pretty but it’s super easy to do too!
Just combine all ingredients including orange peels, cinnamon sticks, an apple, cloves, cardamom pods, fresh ginger, and star anise in a saucepan.
Add 5 cups of water and heat them over low heat until simmering. Keep this going for a few hours and add water when needed.
You can also use a crockpot so you don’t have to think about it for a few hours. Set it on low or high with the top off.
Enjoy the holiday scent!
2. How to make your home smell good? Craft a Cinnamon Stick Candles
Make your home smell amazing and feel comforting with these cute Cinnamon Stick Candles.
Simply wrap cinnamon sticks around a candle and the warmth of the burning candle will make the cinnamon sticks more fragrant!
3. Reed Diffuser
When it comes to home fragrances, Reed diffusers are the hottest trend right now.
Unlike candles, reed diffusers are flame-free. They disperse scent into the air naturally which makes them safer for your home.
And you can make reed diffusers even more colorful by using washi tapes.
Looks so easy to do, right? We only need 3 main materials here: Essential Oil Lavender + Rattan Diffusing Sticks, a glass vase, and your creativity!
4. DIY Freshener (how to make your home smell good)
I just love the fresh smell of citrus so this is perfect for me.
Using the three citrus powerhouses: orange, lemon, and lime scoop out the insides and fill halves with sea salt.
You can also add cloves or fresh herbs like basil and mint for extra smell-good fragrance power.
5. All-Natural Incense
This all-natural wood incense will remind you of cold nights spent outdoors sitting by a campfire. Surely, this will make your home smell oh so woodsy!
To get that scent, try Siskiyou cedar incense from Juniper Ridge which is made from wood, leaves, and tree sap. Light it up to fill the room with a warm, woodsy aroma.
Another one is Palo Santo or “holy stick” which gives off natural wood with a kick of fine citrus aroma. It’s sustainably harvested in South America and is believed to cleanse and purify a space when burned.
6. Craft a DIY carpet deodorizer (how to make your home smell good)
Here is another fast, cheap, and easy DIY to make your home smell amazing!
Grab a mason jar + lid with holes. Fill it with baking soda (half-full is perfect because you need some space to shake it up).
Add about 10 drops of your favorite essential oils or cooking vanilla or cinnamon (if you don’t have any oils available), and shake them well.
When you want to vacuum, sprinkle this everywhere in the house for at least an hour. That way, the baking soda will neutralize the bad smell and let the fragrance stay for a while.

8. Add essential oil to the toilet paper roll
Now, this is one easy trick! Give your bathroom a refreshing scent by adding essential oil to the toilet paper roll.
Put about 3-4 drops of your favorite essential oil inside of the cardboard roll. I particularly love Lavender because of its calming effect.
Try it and see your bathroom smells AMAZINGLY fresh all day!

9. Hang Eucalyptus and Herb Bundle
Not only because it looks so posh, but it also makes your bathroom smell clean all the time.
Hang a bundle of rosemary, lavender, and eucalyptus from the showerhead in a spot where it won’t get directly sprayed with water.
In making the bundle, put together the stems and wrap the ends with twine. Make sure to hang the bouquet upside down.
That’s it! Enjoy the relaxing aroma coming from the shower’s steam as if you’re in a spa!
10. How to make your home smell good? Bake Vanilla In The Oven
Another awesome trick here!
On an oven-safe dish or mug, pour about 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract and bake at 300 degrees.
Wait for 20 minutes and TADA! The warm scent of vanilla will instantly fill your room.
