Well, if you have the same question, welcome to the club!

I feel you! Exercise is a great idea but starting it can be the hardest part.

The sound of bed is music to our ears. The weather can either be too cold, too hot, or too windy for us to run outside. The sofa looks so inviting for us to sit while binge-watching Netflix.

Reasons, reasons, reasons…

Yeah, we know it takes some getting there. That’s why we’ve compiled this list of 9 brilliant fitness tricks so you can still get in shape and lose weight without really trying 🙂

How to get fit #1: Walk girl, walk

Get up and use your legs girl! Walking even just for 20 minutes a day can help shrink your waistline and burn off calories. Now, you have the perfect excuse to get a dog!

But beyond weight loss, walking can improve your mood, increase energy, lower the risk of diabetes, and helps strengthen memory.

It’s also easy to fit into your daily schedule, and won’t have you gasping for breath.

So taking a brief walk can help change many aspects of your life whether you wake up a bit earlier, fit in a lunch break during work, or go on an evening stroll.

#2: Don’t Run! Unless it’s for just one song

This one’s my favorite. Instead of setting a high expectation and feeling awful when it doesn’t happen, tell yourself to run just the length of one song.

Try it and promise you won’t even notice when the 3.5 minutes are over. Download your fave dance songs and see for yourself.

How to get fit #3: Start small

Start small. Believing that you "CAN do it" is one of the keys to making exercise a habit. via www.sharpaspirant.com #fitness #getfit #fitnessmotivation #fitnesstips #fitnessinspiration

Believing that “YOU CAN DO IT” is one of the keys to making exercise a habit.

Set realistic expectations by thinking of small workouts that you can do even if you’re stressed, tired, or demotivated.

Try to do exactly ten push-ups and ten sit-ups a day. It’s still better than nothing as they say.

When you get the hang of it, you’ll feel yourself finding the sets of 10 too easy, you can up it at your own pace.

#4: Don’t go out

Who says you need a pricey gym membership to get your fitness on? You don’t need to leave your house or your room to work out.

There are several accessible exercises and workouts you’ll be able to do from your home, that won’t require you to make the commute to the gym. Do some tricep dips and a few lunges, and work those abs.

How to get fit #5: Time doesn’t matter

The quality of your workout doesn’t depend on how long it is (which is cool!) It doesn’t matter if you didn’t complete a full hour of exercise.

Yes, any exercise is great! The most important thing is to just get moving in the first place.

You are doing SOMETHING and that’s what matters.

#6: Work out during the ad breaks

Lazy people like to watch TV. So why not combine this with exercise, and time your short-work outs to be just as long as the ads. If you do a five-minute circuit of lunges, jogging, skipping, and squats during the commercials, then you can reward yourself after lying on the sofa.

How to get fit #7: Use Tabata

Use Tabata

For a super-speedy workout, download the Tabata timer app. It guides you for 20 seconds on and 10 seconds off for a great high-intensity workout that will benefit both fitness and weight loss.

Run for twenty seconds and walk for ten, or skip for 20 and lay down for 10.

You can also do burpees or even the plank.

Tabata coaching can raise your metabolism and pulse instantly and you must begin seeing the advantages in no time.

How to get fit #8: Stand up at least every hour

Stand up at least every hour

We all know how sitting all day has negative effects on you. Whether you’re a couch potato watching Netflix all day or an office worker sitting in front of a computer, an Australian study suggests standing up at least every hour can alleviate most of the problems of sitting all day.

So make a conscious effort to get up at least once an hour – go to the toilet, make a round of tea, or even just go and say hello to a colleague. Yeah, that’s right, having a chat at work is good for your health and well-being.

How to get fit #9: Unplug it!

A good night's sleep is undeniably vital for your health.

Yup, you heard it right!

A good night’s sleep is undeniably vital for your health. It’s equally important to eat healthily and exercise.

But with the nth number of devices you own that distract you, you might just need a break. So unplug all the technology you’ve got coming out of your ears at least an hour before going to sleep, and you should find you start to have a better rest.

There you go! Now you know how to get fit without really trying!

I hope these easy fitness tricks help you feel a little motivated. Do you have anything more to add to the list? Let me know in the comments!
