I believe starting a bullet journal doesn’t have to be complicated and fancy. In my early days, I only used a simple wide-ruled spiral notebook and a pencil!
Nowadays, I have this journal with me which is similar to other leading brands, sturdy but cheaper!
But, if you’re on the artistic side, you can add more creativity and fun to bullet journaling! And it’s very therapeutic too, as lots of people find the artistic and organizational part of the bullet journal healthy!

Dual tipped Tombow pens
Tombow Pens are great and the colors they come in are just lovely! And the cool part is they’re dual-tipped so you can choose how thick or thin you want your line.
Tombow Fudenosuke Outlining Pens
To complete your bullet journal kit, you need these Fudenosuke outlining pens. They are durable and don’t bleed like a lot of regular gel pens do.
These are definitely an investment!
Washi Tape
Washi Tape is such a great way to color coordinate each section of your bullet journal. It keeps all your bullet journal ideas and makes them findable and pretty!
You can also do endless things with them, from creating nice tabs, boxes, or even helping you trace straight lines.
Sticky notes
Sticky notes are my favorite! I love their colors and I find them great for creating a mini calendar by using each sticky a day and lining them up.
They can also be used as dividers or colorful add-ins to your bujo pages to create your unique designs.
